Неки аспекти проповедничке христологије Николаја Велимировића кроз призму његових беседа, посланица и списа
Since in the previous research there was not much said about the Christology of Nicholai Velimirovich, in this paper, we are focusing on the reception of patristic theological ideas in the preaching and pastoral work of Bishop Nicholai Velimirovich (1881–1956).
In this research, we will pay special attention to Velimirovich’s work which is supposed to be not strictly theological, because it is written for a broad public, but on the other hand, the work which is full of patristic Christological ideas — we will point the focus of this research and give special reference to Velimirovich’s Prologue from Ohrid.
In his works from the 1920s, Velimirovich uses analogies similar to those of the Holy Fathers, using the patristic vocabulary, specifically the expression of the Cappadocian Fathers. It is particularly interesting that it seems Velimirovich relied upon ideas developed by St. Athanasius of Alexandria (c. 296/298– 373) and St. Maximus the Confessor (c. 580–662).
Velimirovich’s preached Christology is not simply a repetition of what was written before, but more interpretative and contextualized.
